Natalie Wallis:

British-born and raised in the Bahamas, Florida and New York, Natalie gained a BSc. in Fashion and Retailing from Syracuse University in New York, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Pattern Cutting from The London College of Fashion.

As a fashion designer, she was Shell UK ‘London Young Businessperson of the Year’ and a finalist for Brides ‘Young Designer of the Year’ with many designs featured in magazines, including the front covers.

Using her fashion and textile background, combined with courses in Curtain Making, Upholstery, Furniture Restoration and Lighting, she began her career in Interior Design.  In 2007, Natalie took over Inside Story from Shirley Bennett. The business has grown organically with the majority of commissions arising from personal recommendation.

Shirley Bennett:

Shirley founded Inside Story in 1992 and has a wealth of experience and knowledge gained form a long career in interior decorating. She has an exceptional memory for fabrics and is a master of colour and texture. If you are stuck on anything ask Shirley, she always seems to find the perfect solution. Shirley brings warmth and good humour to the shop and although semi-retired keeps a watchful eye over Inside Story. Every business should have one!
